Types of Implant Restorations

dr david in treatmentDepending on how many teeth you’re replacing, we can fabricate a custom-matched restoration to fill in the visible, functional portion of your implant treatment. After the surgeon has installed your implant and it is fully integrated, you might want to consider one of these fixed restorations to top it off:

Single Implant Crown—Individual dental implants provide a minimally invasive approach to tooth replacement. This stand-alone restoration doesn’t alter the adjacent tooth structure the way a conventional bridge does. Rather, a crown is attached directly on top of an independent dental implant.

Implant-Supported Bridge—When there are 3-4 teeth in a row missing, a pair of implants can support a fixed bridge in that location. Implant-supported bridges eliminate the need to wear a removable partial denture. They are matched to blend nicely with your adjacent teeth in terms of shape and size.

Full-Arch Restoration—If you’re missing all your teeth and need to restore your complete smile, multiple implant-supported options are available. All-on-4 and implant-stabilised dentures are just a few examples. We can help you discuss which choices may be best, and provide guidance as we work with your surgeon.

Your Partner in Oral Health
